AIG SA provides quality commercial and consumer insurance services throughout South Africa, offering the widest range of insurance products to companies both large and small. This includes international or global insurance programmes for those companies who have expanded their operations beyond these shores either into other parts of Africa or further afield. Through the AIG network the Company can provide local advice and services to comply with local regulatory requirements.

On the consumer side AIG SA provides a comprehensive range of Accident and Health and personal lines insurance products covering buildings, contents, motor and identity theft for households and individuals. AIG SA is also a major travel insurance provider in South Africa.

As participants in the Financial Services Charter, AIG SA is working to address previous inequities. Several years ago AIG SA introduced a Graduate Development programme. This is a comprehensive one year training and development programme, aimed at encouraging young black graduates to join the Insurance industry and fast-tracking them into taking over responsible positions in the business  The company also contributes extensively to education and entrepreneurship in disadvantaged communities.
